Background

Since 1990 Bridging People, Cultures and Languages

Born in 1964 in Heidelberg. My time in India and Peru, both influenced me as a person and my career. After studying translation at the University of Heidelberg in 1990, I became a freelance translator and interpreter for English and Spanish. Today for my clients, I am considered to be a primary port of call for thorough and reliable translations of medical documents and accurate, sensitive interpretation, that both speakers and participants value.

From 1992 to 2003, I regularly worked in parallel as a tour guide for hiking, adventure and  study trips in Spain, Great Britain, Ecuador and Peru (Wikinger Reisen GmbH). In this way, I continually practised my active and passive language skills and kept myself up to date with the current linguistic and cultural developments.

Since 2000, I expanded my job profile with more extensive in-service training. Today as a coach and seminar leader for the art of living, I assist people - quite often outdoors - on their way to achieving a fulfilling life (www.katja-dienemann.de). Again here, the necessary skills benefit from my interpreting experience.
